Overview & Challenge
The last step of a data recovery job is proving what came back. Handing a client a raw folder dump helps nobody: they cannot tell which files survived intact and which are silently damaged, and the lab cannot check thousands of files by hand.
File Lister runs plugin-based checks for bad-sector markers and header damage — with dedicated validation for images, office documents and PDFs — and renders the results as a browsable list with Structure, By Type and By Date views. An Ultra Fast Mode skips deep checks when a quick listing is all the job needs.
